The Change is in the Connection

January 6th, 2009

Happy New Year Saints, Family and Friends!  There is something electric in the air about 2009.  I think we all can sense that a change is fast approaching, a change for the better.

For those of you that were discouraged in 2008, the word of God reminds us to “let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Me” (John 14:1).  My friend, as a believer, God has got your back covered.  In 2008 God was just setting things up, in order for Him to perform, in order for Him to show Himself strong in a major way.  He’s reminding us and the world that He is in charge and that it is He who rules and reigns.

There will still be some that will not get it or be able to understand what’s going on in the supernatural realm.  But for those of you that do, we must hold to our faith and God’s ever lasting word.  He has given us so many promises to carry us through 2009.  We can begin with Psalm 91 and Psalm 37, and know that there is safety for those that abide and trust in Him.

For those that may still be doubtful or really struggled in 2008 it, it’s time to put

the past in the past and rejoice in the new day.  A change is coming and He will turn your morning into dancing.  Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.  Consider 2009 your morning and expect great things from the Lord this year.  God is a rewarder and a restorer. I have no doubt that my later days will be greater than my former days and so will yours.  We just have to wait on Him.  Job declared that he would wait on God until his change came (Job 14:14) and my did his change come. He received doubled for his loses.  Job believed that God could do anything and that God would fulfill His purpose for our lives.

Even those dead and hopeless situations can be changed.  In Ezekiel 37, God revived those dead dry bones.  He simply spoke a word and caused life to breath on them that they may live again.  Not only did he cause them to live again, He put His spirit in them.  “I will put My Spirit in you and you shall live.” (Ezekiel 37:14b)  God wants us to live a joyful and victorious life.  Begin to speak life into your situation for we know that death and life are in the power of the tongue.  What life will you be speaking into existence in 2009?

I feel that your change is on the horizon in 2009.  But it will require faith and action on your part. So begin to seek God on what your role will be in receiving the rewards that He has stored up for you this year.  Challenge yourself to get into His presence more this year and get more in tuned with God. Become a worshipper and make yourself available to Him and what He desires to do in your life. Make this your year to be an abider in Christ.  Become God’s abiding lady (or man) and watch His blessings overtake you.

The change that God has for you is in the connection with Him. He desires our presence and that we seek His face.  And in return we can expect God to overwhelm us and change circumstances.  People get ready; get ready for a significant move of God and a great change that will take place in 2009.  Once again wishing you a Happy New Year filled with God’s peace and prosperity.
